Southwest Virginia arts and cultural organizations, individual artists (of all disciplines) and businesses (restaurants, lodging, etc.) are invited to participate. Note: Participation in Virginia GEMS is FREE to members of The Arts Council of the Blue Ridge. Non-member pay a nominal annual fee of $100.
How the program works and what Virginia GEMS will provide:
- Your organization or business offers a minimum discount of 15 % or more on an experience-type gift such as tickets, gift certificates or memberships. (THIS IS OPTIONAL)
- Shoppers may purchase the discounted offer during the dates/times that you specify. (e.g. Holiday GEMS would take place between mid-November through December 31; Valentine’s Day GEMS throughout the month of February)
- You give your customer the discount when they mention Virginia GEMS. (if applicable)
- The Virginia GEMS website will feature your offer and a link to your website.
- The Arts Council of the Blue Ridge will promote the campaign through different media promotions and activities (print, radio, television, social media applications, web marketing).
